It's time to learn how to swim!
This summer we will be offering swim lessons at Treasure Island during the weeks of July 22 and July 29.
Jamie Holder (who was previously a college swim team coach) will again be teaching our swim lessons!
We will be offering levels 1,2 and 3 (see descriptions below). Class size will be limited to 12 but there will be an overflow list for levels 1 and 2 and if an overflow list gets big enough, we can offer another class at that level.
Level Descriptions:
Level 1: Participants do not know how to swim, they may be uncomfortable in or near the water. Level 1 will focus on water safety, back floating, blowing bubbles, getting comfortable in the water and the basics of kicking and moving through the water without help.
Level 2: Participants may know how to swim a little but may be uncomfortable in the water, especially when putting their heads underwater. Lessons will focus on learning the basics of the freestyle stroke, sculling, kicking, side breathing, and treading water.
Level 3: Participants should know how to swim and be comfortable in the water. Level 3 will focus on treading water safely and improving stroke technique to swim more efficiently.
Age minimum 3 years old.
